Soccer Superlatives - Women's Edition

With the success the Des Moines Menace has been seeing this summer, we decided to sit down and get to know this winning women’s team a little bit better.

The votes have been tallied, here’s what we’ve learned about the women’s team:

Question 1: Who is the most likely to play professional soccer? Whitney Sharpe

Considering her overseas stint with professional team AFC Ajax (Amsterdam), where she helped the team win the KNVB Women’s Cup, this title was no surprise.

Question 2: Who is the best singer? Jordan Bishop

She’s been with the Menace since the very beginning, so we’re sure she’s had her fair share of singing on road-trips. Wonder if she sang at her wedding two weeks ago?

Question 3: Who is the team clown? Georgia Robert

Both the women’s and men’s team clown are from England. Maybe that’s telling us that the English have more fun!

Question 4: Who is the most likely to get married in Vegas? Haley Helverson

Her impulsive and fun personality always leads to the best memories. Maybe the next memory will be in Vegas, wonder who the groom will be?

Question 5: Who is the most likely to get a red card? Danielle Puddefoot

Feisty on and off the field, Puddefoot is known to have a foul or two.

Question 6: Who is the most likely to play for the Menace again next summer? Nicole Pearson

Pearson is a returner for the Menace, works for Kum & Go and lives in the Des Moines area. She is the obvious choice unless she decides to completely distance herself from everything Menace related (we doubt it).

Question 7: Who is the best actress on the field? Danielle Puddefoot

Going along with the red card question, Puddy obviously is aggressive on the field and always wants the call in her favor.

Question 8: Who is the biggest flirt? Alyce Correia

Maybe it’s her infectious smile? Maybe it’s her Australian accent? But either way, Alyce clearly has the boys running to her.

Question 9: Who is the worst driver? Rachel Muse

Being one of the most unanimous picks, we know we’re not getting in Rachel’s car anytime soon.

Question 10: Who is the most likely to move back in with their parents? Shayna Stubbs

The team took this question quite literally since Shayna is a recent Johnston High School grad preparing for her first year away from home.

Question 11: Who is the most likely to score a hat trick? Whitney Sharpe

Whitney just scored a hat trick last weekend, and we’re hoping she’s got another one in her this weekend against Chicago or Minnesota!
