Menace hosts Iowa boys all★stars

 
 
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Tuesday, June 14, 2016 – Presented by Soccer Master and organized by the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association, the 2016 Iowa high school all-star games are coming to Valley Stadium.
 
The Des Moines Menace will once again host the all-star action. Below are the rosters for the boys teams, who face off this Saturday. The girls’ rosters will be announced next week, leading up to their all-star game on Saturday, June 25.
 

 
Saturday, June 18
2 p.m.: 2016 Iowa East-West All-Star Cup (Boys)
7:30 p.m.: Premier Development League match, St. Louis Lions at Des Moines Menace
Venue: Valley Stadium (turf) in West Des Moines, Iowa
Admission: $10 for adults; $5 for children ages 5-12; one ticket is good for both games
Free admission for high-school students and high-school staff members who show their high-school I.D.

Waterloo East's Nathan Heinz moves to the East team; Marshalltown's Trevor Fuccio moves to the West team;
Pella's Will Warner is added to the East team, as Center Point-Urbana's Jace Jirak is not able to attend.

Boys Class 1A: Beckman Catholic, Dyersville defeated Kuemper Catholic, Carroll – 2-1
Boys Class 2A: Norwalk defeated Storm Lake – 2-1 OT
Boys Class 3A: West Des Moines Valley defeated Iowa City High – 3-1
 
The boys’ championships were June 4 at Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines.
 
 
ABOUT THE MENACE: The Des Moines Menace provides the highest level of soccer in Iowa. The Menace men’s team competes in the Premier Development League (PDL) and is set to begin its 23rd season in 2016. Starting their fifth season this year, the Menace women’s team is part of the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL). With loyal support, the Menace men’s and women’s teams play their home games at the Valley Stadium in West Des Moines to provide family-fun entertainment. The Menace organization provides the growth of the game of soccer in Iowa with their youth soccer programs, including Junior Menace (ages 3-9), Menace Youth Academy (ages 10+), and other various youth tournaments, camps and clinics.
