Menace hosts 2015 all★star games

 
 
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Tuesday, June 23, 2015 – Iowa’s 2015 high school all-star soccer games open a tripleheader at Valley Stadium this Saturday.
 
Presented by Soccer Connections and hosted by the Des Moines Menace, the games are organized by the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association.
 
The matches feature graduating seniors from across the state. The team rosters are below.
 

Saturday, June 27
2:30 p.m.: 2015 Iowa East-West All-Star Cup (Girls)
4:30 p.m.: 2015 Iowa East-West All-Star Cup (Boys)
7:30 p.m.: Premier Development League match, Thunder Bay Chill at Des Moines Menace
Venue: Valley Stadium (turf) in West Des Moines, Iowa
Admission: $9 for adults; $7 for children ages 5-18 (one ticket is good for all three games)
Free admission for high-school students and high-school staff members who show their high-school I.D.

Boys Class 1A: Dyersville Beckman defeated Gilbert, 1-0 (2OT)
Boys Class 2A: Cedar Rapids Xavier defeated Central Clinton (DeWitt), 1-0 (2OT)
Boys Class 3A: Linn-Mar, Marion defeated Ankeny Centennial, 2-0
 
Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines was the site of the state tournaments, with the boys champions crowned on June 6 and girls champs crowned on June 13.
 
ABOUT THE MENACE: The Des Moines Menace provides the highest level of soccer in Iowa. In its 22nd season, the Menace men’s side competes in the 63-team United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL). The Menace’s women’s team, in its fourth season, is part of the 80-team Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL). From May to July, the Menace teams play their home matches in a fun, family-friendly environment at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines. The organization promotes a healthy lifestyle through its popular youth programs, including the Menace Academy (select soccer for ages 9-19), camps, clinics, Junior Menace and tournaments.
