The champion of the 2014 FIFA World Cup will be crowned this Sunday (July 13), and the Des Moines Menace and the Des Moines Social Club are teaming up for a watch party.
The Des Moines Social Club’s courtyard will be the site of this outdoor event. The public is invited, and everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

When: Sunday, July 13 at 1:30 p.m.
Why: To celebrate the World Cup Final with the Menace players and local soccer fans!
In addition, Soccer West Soccer Club will be hosting a party in the DMSC's Kum & Go Theater. While space is available, this indoor venue is a great alternative in the event of inclement weather.
The 2014 World Cup started on June 12. The 32-team tournament will be settled by a final that pits Germany against Argentina.
ABOUT THE MENACE: The Des Moines Menace provides the highest level of soccer in Iowa. In its 21st season, the Menace men’s side competes in the 64-team United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL). The Menace’s women’s team played in the 2013 Women’s Premier Soccer League playoffs, after debuting as the Women’s League Soccer 2012 champions. The Menace teams play their home matches in a fun, family-friendly environment at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines.
