WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Tuesday, June 24, 2014 – The Premier Development League office has announced the postponement of tonight’s match between the Des Moines Menace and the Chicago Inferno.
Additional information regarding the status of the game – originally scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start in Wheaton, Ill. – will be announced later this week.
Des Moines (5-1-0, 15 points) is tied atop the PDL Heartland Division standings with the Thunder Bay Chill (5-3-0), the only team to defeat the Menace this season.
The Menace and the Chill meet for two games this weekend at Valley Stadium. On Saturday, the Menace hosts Thunder Bay following the Iowa girls high school all-star game (2 p.m.) and a Women’s Premier Soccer League game between the Menace and the Kansas City Courage (4:30 p.m.).
On Sunday, Des Moines and Thunder Bay play in the nightcap of a doubleheader that opens with the Iowa boys high school all-star game at 5 p.m. All of the Menace PDL team’s home matches start at 7:30.
