WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Friday, June 28, 2013 – Here’s your chance to help others while showing your Menace spirit.
Be part of this Saturday’s Des Moines Menace Blood Drive, and you will get you into the stadium with a free ticket and a free t-shirt. We invite you to join the cause, and attend a soccer tripleheader that includes the 2013 Iowa High School all-star games and a Menace exhibition.
Who: Anyone willing to give to a great cause.
What: A free tripleheader of soccer and a free Menace T-shirt for everyone who donates blood.
When: Saturday, June 29
- Blood drive runs from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
- The tripleheader starts at 2:30 p.m. with the girls’ East-West All-Star Cup, followed by the boys’ East-West All-Star Cup at 4:30
- The Des Moines Menace (Premier Development League team) hosts the Twin Cities BK Voyageurs in a 7:30 exhibition that night.
Where: Valley Stadium in West Des Moines (4440 Mills Civic Parkway)
- The blood drive while take place in the stadium parking lot.
- The games will all be in Valley Stadium.
The blood drive is sponsored by LifeServe Blood Center in partnership with Megan’s Legacy.

ABOUT THE MENACE: The Des Moines Menace provides the highest level of soccer in Iowa. Entering its 20th season, the Menace men’s side competes in the 65-team United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL). The Menace’s women’s team enters the Women’s Premier Soccer League in 2013, after debuting as the Women’s League Soccer 2012 champions. The Menace teams play their home matches in a fun, family-friendly environment at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines. The organization promotes a healthy lifestyle through its popular youth programs, including the Menace Academy (select soccer for ages 9-19), camps, clinics, Junior Menace and tournaments.
