Women's game moved

Match scheduled for Saturday will be played July 15 at Teamwork Acres

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Thursday, July 5, 2012 – Due to circumstances beyond the team’s control, the Menace women’s match scheduled for this Saturday has been moved to Sunday, July 15 at Teamwork Acres Training Facility in Waukee.

The match against FC Indiana (South Bend) was originally scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start at Valley Stadium on Saturday. The change does not affect the Menace’s Premier Development League matches this weekend at Valley Stadium.  The men’s team hosts the Thunder Bay Chill on Friday and Saturday for a pair of 7:30 p.m. starts.

The re-scheduled match is fans’ last chance to catch the inaugural Menace women at home this season. With the change of plans, head coach Kevin Schalk’s team (4-0-0 Women’s League Soccer) finishes its home schedule with games on back-to-back days. The Des Moines women return to action on Saturday, July 14, with a 4:30 p.m. match against Ft. Wayne Sports Club.

The July 14 WLS action opens Fan Appreciation Night at Valley Stadium. The Menace PDL side follows with an exhibition against Minnesota Stars FC at 7:30, and the night concludes with a fireworks display.
