Des Moines' college soccer teams are hosting "Menace Night" events, and you're invited. Special ticket prices are available for the upcoming home matches for the Grand View Univerisity and Drake University men and women.
Grand View University - Men and Women
Saturday, Oct. 15 at Cownie Soccer Park
Women vs. Clarke College at 4:30 p.m.
Men vs. Clarke College at 7 p.m.
Doubleheader (two games for the price of one)
Tickets: $2 for fans wearing Des Moines Menace apparel (or family of Menace Academy players and coaches) who ask for the special Menace pricing. Free admission for Menace Academy players (wearing their Menace Academy jersey or jacket) and Menace Academy coaches (showing their coach pass).
Women's Preview: The Vikings (9-5 overall, 5-1 in the Midwest Collegiate Conference) look to remain in the hunt for a conference crown. Clarke is 5-7-2, including a 3-2-1 mark in league play.
Men's Preview: Menace (Premier Development League team) alumni Luis Piffer (25 points) and Jonny Macadam (21 points) star for the sixth-ranked (NAIA) Vikings. They are joined by former Menace Academy players Noel Median, Tyler Peeler and Sam Weeks. This is Senior Day for both GVU teams, who play their final home action of the regular season. Grand View (13-1, 6-0) and Clarke (8-6-0, 5-1-0) face off in a battle of the top two teams in the MCC standings.
Drake University - Women
Tuesday, Oct. 18 at Cownie Soccer Park
vs. Creighton at 7 p.m.

Preview: The Bulldog women (3-7-4, 1-2-0 in the Missour Valley Conference) welcome defending league champion Creighton (7-5-1, 2-0-0). The Drake women have one other remaining home match, Oct. 27 against Northern Iowa.
Drake University - Men
Wednesday, Oct. 19 at Cownie Soccer Park
vs. Southern Illionis- Edwardsville at 7 p.m.
Tickets: For fans wearing Des Moines Menace apparel and asking for this special Menace pricing: $3 for adults (age 19 and older) and $1 for youth (ages 3-18). Free admission for Menace Academy players (showing their Drake Club Pass, distributed through academy teams) and coaches (showing their coach pass).
Preview: Drake (8-4-1, 2-0 MVC) hosts SIU- Edwardsville (7-3-3, 1-0-1) in the Bulldogs' second-to-last home match (Nov. 5 against Missouri State). Former Menace players abound on Drake’s roster. Goalkeeper Jordan Kadlec, Hunter Kennedy, Matt Kuhn, Joe Lyons, Michael Noonan, Thomas Ostrander, David Parato and Jordan Stanley have played for the Menace PDL side; Jackson Teeling is a Menace Academy product.
