Menace hosts PDL team tryouts April 23

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – April 5, 2011 – The Des Moines Menace’s Open Tryout is set for Saturday, April 23 at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines.

This is the only scheduled tryout for soccer players interested in earning a spot on the Menace’s Premier Development League team or the Menace Reserves.The one-day session will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., with a break for lunch.
Online registration, open through April 20, is $75 and includes lunch and two numbered t-shirts.

Anyone who makes the Menace PDL team's active roster will be reimbursed in full. Three recent trialists have made the Menace's roster: Luis Piffer (2010), Adam Hooi (2009) and Greg Lehman (2008).

ABOUT THE MENACE: Preparing for its 18th season as Iowa’s Premier Soccer Team, the Des Moines Menace competes in the 64-team Premier Development League (PDL), the highest amateur level of the United Soccer Leagues (USL). The Menace plays its home matches in a fun, family-friendly environment at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines.

The season starts Saturday, May 14, when the Menace hosts the St. Louis Lions at 7:30 p.m.
